Today I was just messing around on Revolve Clothing (one of my favorite one-stop-shops for research and current trends) and realized I was looking specifically at jackets. Jackets, aside from being the premiere way to create a waist, are such versatile layering pieces. The shapes, silhouettes, fabrics, and colors are endless. I love jackets because they can take a T-shirt from the movies to a dressed-up affair (just add heels). Jackets are the best of the casual/dressy worlds.
Left to right: G-Star is such a rockstar/bad-ass brand so this fishtail, girly jacket offers some relief from their typical ‘moto’ aesthetic. The Reformation jacket is the perfect neutral olive color and, what I love here is that it’s long enough to wear over fitted pants or leggings (covers the booty). The BB Dakota is a simple jacket that pairs beautifully with white (as above) or black, done and done. Finally, the L.A.M.B. option is slightly over-sized, a bit cargo-y in the pockets, but still structured in the shoulders and lapel.
